What is GOURI injection?

GOURI is an injectable formulation containing an ingredient called PCL (polycaprolactone).

GOURI's PCL is liquefied, making it the world's first "liquefied PCL formulation" to be developed.

liquefaction

Being transformed into a liquid rather than a solid.

What is GOURI?

What is PCL?

PCL will be a thread used in the medical field. Technically, it is called "biodegradable synthetic polymeric agent," which includes the meaning that it is dissolved and absorbed in the body. The word "polymer" is also a good one to note, and in the case of a polymeric component, volume enhancement can be expected.

Since PCL is a thread, it is a foreign substance to the body, causing a "foreign body reaction" in the body. This foreign body reaction stimulates fibroblasts in the skin (dermis), increasing and activating collagen and elastin, thereby producing a lifting effect.

This PCL is also a type of thread used in thread lifts. In the case of thread lift, the PCL is solid PCL, but GOURI's PCL is liquefied.

This ingredient, PCL, has been approved by the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) and CE (European safety standard) and has a high safety profile.

What is PCL?

Differences from conventional PCL formulations

PCL formulations other than GOURI have existed in the past.

However, conventional PCL is not liquefied, but solid (particulate), and thus carries the risk of vascular embolization and lumps.

The PCL formulation that eliminates these risks is GOURI.

Three Characteristics of GOURI (3S)

GOURI has the following three characteristics

  • Spredability
  • Sustainability
  • Safety

The 3Ss are an acronym for three characteristics.

3S

(1) Spredability

Liquefied PCL is very diffusive. This provides two advantages

(1) Spreads over a wide area, so it is effective all over the place.
(2) Shorter treatment time due to the use of fewer injection sites to produce a wider range of effects.

(2) Sustainability

PCL aggregates in the skin (forming a 3-dimensional matrix) and increases and activates collagen in the mid- to long-term.

Specifically,About 6~12 monthsThe effect is sustained for a period of

Safety

PCL will be a safe ingredient approved by FDA and CE.

It is liquefied and has little risk of vascular embolization or lump formation.

Recommended number/frequency of treatments

Treatment area/method

Treatment area

The three main treatment areas can be broadly summarized as follows

  • Forehead
  • Cheeks (around eyes, cheeks, mouth)
  • head

Treatment Method

The first premise is that there are two types of needles for injection used in GOURI as follows.

  • Sharp needle = pointed tip
  • Blunt needle = not pointed

In the GOURI procedure, the orange point in the figure below is pierced with (1) a sharp needle to make a hole in the skin.

GOURI Treatment Area

Next, (2) pass a blunt needle through the hole you just made. Then, GOURI is injected into the light blue area in the above figure.

There is pain when (1) a sharp needle penetrates the skin, but little pain when (2) a blunt needle is moved. Discomfort or pain may be felt when injecting the drug.

For the injection method shown in the figure, the recommended dosage is one bottle on each side, for a total of two bottles.

Reference] How to choose the dosage

I've looked at a lot of websites, but I'm not sure what the dosage (cc) is."

We often hear this question, so we will provide an explanation in the form of a diagram. Although there are individual differences, there is an optimal dosage for each area, so the dosage required per treatment is summarized below for each area.

For example, if you want to lift up your cheeks, you will need 2 vials (2 cc) per treatment, and if you want to have a set of 3 treatments, you can choose a set of 6 vials for a good price.
