FAQ

Is a single session effective?
Dr. Ishii

Results vary from person to person, but even a single session can be effective. That said, NMN IV drip therapy tends to deliver more noticeable results when continued over time. We suggest a session once every 2 to 4 weeks, continued for about 3 to 6 months.

Is the NMN IV drip safe?
Dr. Ishii

NMN is one of the substances the body produces naturally, and to date there have been no reports of major side effects from IV drips.

I am taking NMN supplements—can I still receive the IV drip?
Dr. Ishii

Yes, this is generally possible. Let's determine the dosage, frequency, and other details in consultation with your physician.

Who cannot receive this treatment

  • Allergy to NMN
  • Those currently affected by an infectious disease or in an immunosuppressed state
  • Those who are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Those with a blood disorder such as a coagulation abnormality, or who are taking anticoagulants
  • Those with an autoimmune disease or a condition related to the immune system
  • (Caution required) Those who have not had a recent medical checkup, or whose state of health is unclear

Safety Information

At present, no serious side effects have been reported.

The following information is available.

A research group led by Professor Yutaka Ito, together with a team at the University of Washington in the United States, was the first in the world to show that NMN can be safely administered to healthy humans.

In Japan, a group at Keio University Hospital conducted the following clinical trial and concluded that NMN can be safely administered to humans.

Ten healthy men aged 40 to 60 took 100–500 mg of NMN three times in total, at an average interval of two months. There were no changes in blood pressure or pulse, and tests of liver and kidney function showed no abnormalities.

"World's First: Anti-Aging Candidate NMN Shown to Be Safely Administrable to Humans" (Keio University School of Medicine)

Safety in a human clinical trial of intravenous administration of 300 mg of NMN was confirmed at Hyogo Medical University.

Intravenous administration of NMN did not affect electrocardiogram, pulse rate, or blood pressure, nor did it affect metabolic markers in the liver, heart, pancreas, or kidneys. These results indicate that intravenous administration of NMN is safe and beneficial in humans.

Recommended Number & Frequency of Treatments

For anti-aging purposes, it is recommended to continue treatment at intervals of about 2 to 4 weeks.

When do the effects appear?

Effects may be expected from a single session, but since anti-aging involves multiple factors such as skin, muscle, and stamina, how quickly effects are felt inevitably varies from person to person.

Short-term effects include relief from insomnia, reduced fatigue, and a clearer head, which can often be felt on the same day or the following day.
