What Is Juvelook Volume (Lenisna)?

Juvelook Volume (Lenisna) is a combination of non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid andPoly-DL-lactic acid (PDLLA)This is an injectable formulation known as a skin booster, made by combining

What is PDLLA?

Known in Japanese as poly-lactic acid, it is extracted from starches such as corn, potato, and sugarcane as raw materials and produced through a scientific process.

- A polymer created by polymerizing lactic acid

- A substance with excellent compatibility with the body, whose safety for the human body is approved by the U.S. FDA

- Gradually broken down into water and carbon dioxide over about one to two years

- Also used as surgical sutures, as grafting material in orthopedic surgery, and as vascular grafting material, among other uses

After injection, it is slowly absorbed by the body over one to two years, during which it stimulates fibroblasts to naturally increase collagen and elastin, so a lasting effect can be expected.

Lenisna is written in Roman letters as "Lenisna."
It is a coined word combining Lenis ("smooth, soft" in Latin) and na ("I" in Korean).

"The me who became special with soft skin"

It was named with the meaning of giving me smooth, supple, soft skin.

Juvelook Volume is used to create a natural facial contour and to add volume. By injecting it into areas of the face where volume is lacking (nasolabial folds, cheeks, temples, forehead, etc.), the drug promotes the production of your own collagen, so that over timeYou can expect it to create volume and roundness.

Areas and Concerns Where Juvelook Volume (Lenisna) Is Effective

Juvelook Volume (Lenisna) can offer benefits for various areas of the face. The areas and concerns for which it is especially effective include the following:

  1. Nasolabial folds
  2. Marionette lines (lines from the corners of the mouth to the chin)
  3. Tear-trough (Golgo) lines (lines from the outer corners of the eyes to the cheeks)
  4. Loss of cheek volume
  5. Hollows in the temples
  6. Wrinkles and hollows on the forehead

These areas are prone to volume loss and wrinkle formation due to aging and repeated facial expressions. By injecting Juvelook Volume into these areas,You can expect added volume and improved skin quality.

Effect on Nasolabial Folds and Mechanism of Action

Nasolabial folds are one of the most common facial concerns.Expected Effects and Mechanism of Action of Juvelook Volume (Lenisna) on Nasolabial Foldsare explained in detail here.

Expected Effects on Nasolabial Folds

  1. Adding volume: Adds volume to the subcutaneous tissue around the nasolabial folds, making the hollows less noticeable.
  2. Improvement of skin quality: Improves the skin's firmness and elasticity by promoting collagen production.
  3. Wrinkle reduction: By supporting the skin from within, it makes the wrinkles of the nasolabial folds less noticeable.
  4. Natural finish: Because collagen increases gradually, you can expect a natural improvement rather than an abrupt change.

Mechanism of action

  1. Volume effect: After injection, you can expect a temporary boost in volume from the non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid.
  2. Sustained collagen production:
    • As poly-DL-lactic acid (PDLLA) is gradually broken down within the body, it stimulates the surrounding fibroblasts.
    • The stimulated fibroblasts increase their production of collagen and elastin.
  3. Tissue remodeling:
    • The newly generated collagen and elastin support the skin's structure from within.
    • This gradually strengthens the tissue around the nasolabial folds, making the hollows less noticeable.
  4. Long-term effects:
    • Collagen production advances gradually over one to two years after injection.
    • During this time, continuous improvement of skin quality and increased volume can be expected.

Juvelook Volume (Lenisna) isFor nasolabial folds, it offers both a volume effect and improved skin quality at the same time. This is a treatment method. Unlike conventional hyaluronic acid fillers, it uses your own tissue to create volume, so you can expect a more natural and longer-lasting effect.

Expected Effects of the Treatment

  • Improvement of skin quality
  • Softens the skin
  • Adds firmness and radiance
  • Pore reduction
  • Wrinkle improvement
  • Brightens skin tone
  • Improvement of flushing
  • Repair of acne scars and other scars

The Difference Between Juvelook Volume (Lenisna) and Juvelook

Because the particle size and concentration differ, the purpose and treatment areas differ as well.

Because Juvelook has finer particles and a lower concentration than Lenisna, it is suited to improving the more superficial layers of the skin, and can help restore firmness and elasticity, reduce fine lines, and improve the appearance of scars.

Because Lenisna has large particles and a high concentration, it can add volume from the deep subcutaneous layer. It is used on the temples, hollows below the cheeks, nasolabial folds, and similar areas.

The Difference Between Juvelook Volume and Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

In Europe and Korea, alreadydemand is increasing for volume enhancement through skin regeneration, in which PDLLA formulations such as Lenisna stimulate your own collagen production, rather than filling treatments that add volume with hyaluronic acid.In Korea, more and more people are switching from hyaluronic acid fillers to Juvelook Volume.

FAQ

When will I see results?
Dr. Ishii

Many people feel the effect after two to three weeks.

You can expect results even after just one session, but noticeable changes tend to be easier to feel after completing a set of three sessions.

We also recommend the following as an effective approach.
- A set of three sessions at two-month intervals, followed by maintenance every six months to one year

※Juvelook Volume promotes sustained collagen production, so long-term effects can be expected.

How is it different from hyaluronic acid treatment?
Dr. Ishii

Hyaluronic acid treatment injects cross-linked hyaluronic acid, a firmer form of hyaluronic acid, which physically adds volume to improve wrinkles and similar concerns. Juvelook, on the other hand, achieves a natural increase in volume by boosting the collagen your own body produces.

What are the advantages of using Juvelook Volume (Lenisna) for nasolabial folds?

Juvelook Volume (Lenisna) combines an immediate volumizing effect with a long-term effect that promotes collagen production. As a result, you can expect improvement of the nasolabial folds together with an improvement in skin quality, for a more natural and lasting result.
