I am sure you are all asking yourself these questions.
We will address these questions from the perspective of a practicing cosmetic dermatologist in an easy-to-understand, medically-based manner.
Let us begin the explanation immediately.
What is a whitening set?
A whitening oral set is, simply put, "a set consisting of multiple drugs that have the effect of increasing the clarity of the skin.
To put it a little more medically, a whitening set is a set of medications with specific pharmacological actions that can prevent or treat dark spots and aging by taking them internally.
Each hospital may have a different set of offerings and a variety of plans.
But basically, tranexamic acid (transamine), vitamin C (Cynar), and vitamin E (Juvela),

The result of our careful examination of numerous clinical trials and other papers is the set of four products mentioned above: tranexamic acid, vitamin C, vitamin E, and L-cysteine.
Each drug included in the whitening oral set and its characteristics
The following is a description of each of the drugs that make up the whitening oral set.

・tranexamic acid
It exerts its anti-plasmin action (suppressing the substance plasmin, which accelerates the production of melanin), thereby inhibiting the pathway of melanin production and exerting an anti-inflammatory effect. (See Figure.2)
A rarely recognized risk is the formation of blood clots. For this reason, we do not recommend this procedure for patients with a history of thrombosis, pregnant women, pill users, or female hormone users.
・Cynar tablets (a combination of vitamin C and pantothenic acid)
Inhibits melanin production and improves pigmentation by inhibiting tyrosinase activity and reducing dopaquinone.
In addition to its effectiveness in treating blemishes, it also has both antioxidant and collagen production-promoting effects.
Pantothenic acid helps vitamin C function and inhibits the secretion of excess sebum.
Since it is a water-soluble vitamin, overdosing is unlikely to cause major side effects, but it only increases the amount excreted in the urine, so it is reasonable to take it internally in moderate doses.
・Ubera Tablets (Vitamin E)
Like vitamin C, it has antioxidant properties. However, when vitamin E exerts its antioxidant effect, it is oxidized and loses its potency
Vitamin C has the effect of restoring (activating) this deactivated antioxidant capacity of vitamin E. Vitamin C has the effect of restoring (activating) the antioxidant capacity of vitamin E that has been deactivated (see Figure 3). (See Figure 3).

・HI-CHIOL Tablets (L-Cysteine)
Like vitamin C, it inhibits tyrosinase activity and suppresses melanin production.
It also has the effect of normalizing turnover (skin metabolism), smoothly expelling melanin, and lightening blotches.
・Glutathione Tablets (Glutathione)
In addition to its effect of reducing melanin, which causes blemishes, it also has antioxidant and liver function improving properties. Therefore, it is often used as an anti-aging treatment.
・Vitadans (vitamins B2 and B6)
It is a combination drug of vitamins B2 and B6.
It controls sebum secretion with vitamin B2 and promotes metabolism with vitamin B6. Therefore, it is effective as an acne treatment.
