What is Pluryal Silk?
Plural Silk is an injectable formulation specifically designed to address "eye area concerns".
The "Pural" series, which contains Pural Silk, is a formulation developed by MD Skin Solutions in Luxembourg and is used in many countries, primarily in Europe. The main ingredient, polynucleotide (PN), is known to promote skin regeneration.
In particular, "Plural Silk" is characterized by its fine particle size and viscosity, which have been adjusted to make it easy to apply even on thin skin, such as the eyelids and under-eye area. You can expect a natural, smooth finish.
Plureal Silk is a pharmaceutical product that has not been approved in Japan under the Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Act (unapproved pharmaceutical product).
At our clinic, we handle the procedures for personal importation based on a physician’s judgment. There are no similar pharmaceutical products approved in Japan.
Regarding safety in other countries, it meets EU safety standards (CE certification) and is used in several countries, primarily in Europe. There have been no reports of serious side effects or similar issues in Japan to date.

The mechanism of action of Pluryal Silk
The main ingredient in Plural Silk is polynucleotide (PN), a highly purified compound derived from salmon .
PN is expected to have the following effects:
- Promotes Fibroblast Proliferation: PN promotes fibroblast proliferation. Fibroblasts are cells that produce collagen and elastin. They reinforce the structure of the dermis—which has thinned with age—from the inside, leading to improved elasticity.
- Antioxidant Properties: PN has powerful antioxidant properties and helps prevent skin damage caused by free radicals. As a result, it can help slow down the skin's aging process.
- Anti-inflammatory Effects: PN has anti-inflammatory effects and helps suppress skin inflammation
- Improved Moisture Retention: PN has high moisture-retaining properties and enhances hydration
- Angiogenesis: PN promotes the secretion of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), thereby stimulating angiogenesis. This improves blood flow to the skin and enhances nutrient supply.

To help you feel at ease while you wait for the results, we’ve outlined the post-operative recovery process below.
- Immediately after the procedure: A slight tightness may be felt.
- One week later: Many people begin to notice their skin regaining firmness and radiance, and start to feel a slight improvement.
- 2–4 weeks later: Collagen production increases, and the full effects begin to appear
- 2–3 months later: The time when the maximum effects become apparent

Number of treatments, intervals, and duration
- Recommended number of treatments and treatment intervals: Once every 2–3 weeks × 3–4 sessions (1 course)
- Duration: Approximately 6 to 12 months

To truly see a noticeable change in your appearance, rather than stopping after just one treatment, it is recommended to continue with multiple sessions spaced about 2 to 3 weeks apart.

Collagen production stimulated by Plural Silk continues gradually for some time after the treatment, but it is not permanent.
Although results may vary from person to person, it is generally recommended to undergo regular maintenance every 6 to 12 months to help maintain the effects.

Eye Area (Dark Circles, Fine Lines)
Plural Silk is most effective for concerns affecting the entire eye area, particularly under the eyes and at the outer corners. Because the skin in this area is thin and delicate, a formula specifically designed for the eye area is best suited for this purpose.
As for the eyelids, because the skin there is even thinner and more mobile, the injection volume and depth must be adjusted with greater care. Since suitability depends on the condition of your skin, we recommend confirming this during a consultation.
Around the mouth
It is sometimes used by people who are concerned about vertical lines around the mouth or a loss of firmness.
Because this area involves significant movement of the facial muscles during eating and conversation, the injection plan requires experience.
Other delicate areas (such as scars)
Specifically, small scars, fine crow's feet around the eyes, and other areas where the skin is thin and delicate may be considered for treatment.
None of these treatments are intended to provide immediate results; rather, they aim for gradual improvement through multiple sessions.
For other areas, such as the neck, we recommend a different formulation.
For larger, thicker areas such as the neck and décolletage, formulations like Plural Densify are more suitable than Plural Silk, which is specifically designed for the eye area.

Differences from Rejuran Eye
While Rejuran Eye shares the common feature of having PN as its main ingredient, the particle size of the PN differs, which leads to differences in the sensation during injection and the range of applications. Due to its high viscosity, some patients may experience significant pain.
Rejuran i has a higher polynucleotide concentration and a higher price.
The difference from Sunecos lies in the target demographic and the ingredients.
Sunecos is a formulation containing a complex blend of hyaluronic acid, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and other ingredients. It primarily targets the superficial layer of the dermis and is designed to improve skin hydration and radiance.
In contrast, Plural Silk differs in that PN alone acts on fibroblasts in the dermis to promote collagen production.
Botox is effective for different types of wrinkles.
Botox is a treatment that reduces the visibility of wrinkles by suppressing the movement of facial muscles, and it is primarily effective for expression lines.
On the other hand, since Plural Silk works to improve the skin's natural texture and firmness, it is well-suited for fine crepe-like lines and small dry lines that are visible even when the face is at rest.
Hyaluronic acidis a physical increase in volume
Hyaluronic acid injections are a procedure that primarily adds volume to directly fill in depressions and hollows.
On the other hand, Plural Silk is a treatment that doesn’t simply add volume but actually improves the skin’s texture itself.

I would like to explain the concerns patients have regarding Plural Silk.
Common Reactions(Downtime Symptoms)

The most common side effects are pain, swelling, redness, and bruising—the so-called "downtime" symptoms. All of these are temporary side effects associated with the procedure and usually subside naturally within about 24 hours.
If bruising occurs at the injection site, it will gradually fade over the course of 1 to 2 weeks. To minimize the risk of bruising, our clinic employs various measures, such as using ultra-fine needles and carefully controlling the injection pressure and speed.
Symptoms may vary from person to person. Please allow plenty of time when planning around important events.
Risks That May Occur Rarely

Although it doesn’t happen often, there is a small risk that a lump may form at the injection site or, in rare cases, an infection may occur.
If you notice anything unusual, please contact the clinic immediately.
Although pain and swelling will gradually subside, if they worsen instead, it may indicate an infection.

Since we cannot guarantee safety during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, we ask that you refrain from receiving treatments at our clinic.
Although PN is derived from salmon, the protein components that are prone to causing allergic reactions are removed during the high-purity purification process; therefore, it is considered to pose a relatively low risk of allergic reactions.
However, if you have an allergy to fish-derived ingredients, be sure to consult a doctor beforehand.

Plural Silk is said to be compatible with Botox and laser treatments.
