What is Pluryal Silk?

Plural Silk is effective against dark circles and fine lines, such as...Specializing in "Eye Area Concerns"This is an injectable formulation designed for that purpose.

The "Pural" series, which includes Pural Silk, is a product line developed by MD Skin Solutions of Luxembourg and is used in many countries, primarily in Europe. The main ingredient, polynucleotide (PN), promotes skin regeneration. It is known for...

In particular, “Plural Silk” stands out for its fine particle size and viscosity, whichEasy to use even on thin skin, such as the eyelids and under the eyesOne of its key features is its precise calibration. You can expect a natural, smooth finish.

Puralia Silk is a pharmaceutical product and other items that have not been approved under the Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Act in Japan (unapproved pharmaceuticals and other items).
At our clinic, we handle individual import procedures based on a physician’s judgment. There are no equivalent pharmaceuticals or similar products approved for use in Japan.
Regarding safety and other matters in other countries,Meets EU safety standards (CE certification)It is currently in use in several countries, primarily in Europe. As of now, there have been no reports of serious side effects or other issues in Japan.

Who Should Use Plural Silk?

  • Those concerned about wrinkles or sagging around the eyes
  • Those concerned about dark circles under the eyes
  • Those who feel their skin has lost firmness and elasticity
  • For those seeking a natural rejuvenation

The mechanism of action of Pluryal Silk

The main ingredient in Plural Silk is polynucleotide (PN), which is highly purified from salmon-derived components..
PN is expected to have the following effects.

  • Promotes fibroblast proliferation: PN promotes the proliferation of fibroblasts. Fibroblasts are cells that produce collagen and elastin. They reinforce the structure of the dermis—which has thinned with age—from the inside, leading to improved elasticity.
  • Antioxidant effects:PN has powerful antioxidant properties and helps prevent skin damage caused by free radicals. As a result, it is expected to help slow down the skin's aging process.
  • anti-inflammatory action: PN has anti-inflammatory properties and helps reduce skin inflammation
  • Improved moisture retention: PN has high water-retaining properties and boosts moisture levels
  • Angiogenesis: PN promotes the secretion of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and stimulates angiogenesis. This improves blood flow to the skin and enhances nutrient supply.

The beneficial effects of PN on the skin and other tissues have also been examined in the following review (a summary of multiple research papers to date), which describes it as a safer and more effective non-surgical treatment.

Benefits You Can Expect from Plural Silk

Plural Silk is characterized by its ability to gradually enhance the skin's natural functions rather than providing immediate results.

  • Improving Fine Lines and Crow's Feet Around the Eyes
  • Reducing Dark Circles and Dullness
  • Improvement of skin firmness and elasticity
  • Skin Texture and Complexion Improvement

Improving Fine Lines and Crow's Feet Around the Eyes

Because the skin around the eyes is thin and has few sebaceous glands, this area is prone to fine lines and wrinkles caused by dryness.

PN'sIts moisturizing effects help minimize the appearance of fine lines caused by drynessguiding your skin there.

In addition, by acting on the fibroblasts in the dermis, it stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, andBoost Skin Firmness.

Reducing Dark Circles and Dullness

There are several types of dark circles under the eyes, including pigmentation-related (brown circles), poor circulation-related (blue circles), and sagging-related (black circles and shadow circles).

Plural Silk, through its angiogenesis-promoting effects and anti-inflammatory properties,For dark circles and dullness caused by poor blood circulationWe will work toward this goal. In addition, by improving the skin’s texture and thickness, we aim to achieve a skin condition where shadows are less likely to stand out.

Improved Firmness and Elasticity (Promotes Collagen and Elastin Production)

The primary benefit of Plural Silk is,Improved firmness and elasticity by promoting collagen and elastin production.
The idea is to replenish these components—which decline with age—from within by activating fibroblasts.

In studies focusing on the eye area (periorbital region), the PN group has been reported to show superior results compared to the hyaluronic acid group in terms of the improvement rate for skin texture and the reduction in the appearance of pores.

When Will I Start to Notice the Effects? Changes Immediately After Treatment to Several Months Later

Plural Silk is not a treatment that provides immediate results, but rather,A type of treatment where results can be expected through repeated sessions over the medium to long term.

To help you feel at ease while you wait for the results, we’ve outlined the post-operative recovery process below.

  • Immediately after the procedure: A slight tightness may be felt.
  • One week later: Many people begin to notice their skin regaining firmness and radiance, and start to feel a slight improvement.
  • 2–4 weeks later: Collagen production increases, and the full effects begin to appear
  • 2–3 months later: The time when the maximum effects become apparent

*Results may vary from person to person.

Number of treatments, intervals, and duration

  • Recommended number of treatments and treatment intervals: Once every 2–3 weeks × 3–4 sessions (1 course)
  • Duration: Approximately 6 to 12 months
  • Maintenance: Every 6 to 12 months

Recommended Number of Treatments and Treatment Intervals

To truly see a noticeable difference in your appearance, don't stop after just one treatment, but ratherAbout every 2 to 3 weeksIt is recommended that you continue this treatment for several sessions.

About 3 to 4 sessions per courseIt is generally recommended to use this as a guideline.

Duration of effect

Collagen production stimulated by Plural Silk continues gradually for some time after the treatment, but it is not permanent.

While it varies from person to person,Perform regular maintenance approximately every 6 to 12 months. This makes it easier to maintain the effects.

The areas Pluryal Silk can treat

  • Around the eyes
  • Around the mouth
  • Other delicate areas (such as scars)

Eye Area (Dark Circles, Fine Lines)

What Plural Silk does best is,Concerns regarding the entire eye area, particularly under the eyes and at the outer corners of the eyesThat's right. Because the skin in this area is thin and delicate, a formula designed specifically for the eye area is best.

As for the eyelids, because the skin there is even thinner and more mobile, the injection volume and depth must be adjusted with greater care. Since suitability depends on the condition of your skin, we recommend confirming this during a consultation.

Around the mouth

Vertical lines around the mouth and loss of firmnessIt is sometimes used by people who are concerned about this.

Because this area involves significant movement of the facial muscles during eating and conversation, the injection plan requires experience.

Other delicate areas (such as scars)

Specifically,A Small Scar, such as fine crow's feet around the eyes,Applications for Areas with Thin, Delicate Skin...may be considered.

None of these treatments are intended to provide immediate results; rather, they aim for gradual improvement through multiple sessions.

For other areas, such as the neck, we recommend a different formulation.

For larger, thicker areas such as the neck and décolletage, formulations like Plural Densify are more suitable than Plural Silk, which is specifically designed for the eye area.

If you have multiple areas of concern, please discuss them during your consultation.
We will recommend the most suitable formulation for each area.

Its position within the Pluryal series

Pluryal Silk is the only product in the Pluryal series that isa product specialized for the eye area.

Other products include "Puralia Densify" for the entire face and "Puralia Hair Density" for hair growth.

For more on the "Pluryal" series, please also see the article below.

  1. Pluryal Densify (PLURYAL DENSIFY): Addresses "skin quality" concerns such as overall firmness, pores, redness, and dullness
  2. BioSculpture (PLURYAL BIOSCULPTURE): Promotes three-dimensional rejuvenation, including facial contours and deep wrinkles
  3. Plural Hair Density (PLURYAL HAIR DENSITY): Specializes in hair growth

Differences Between Plural Silk and Other Formulations

In addition to Plural Silk, other injectable treatments that can be used around the eyes include Rejuran Eye, Snekos, Botox, and hyaluronic acid.

Differences from Rejuran Eye

While Rejuran Eye shares the common feature of having PN as its main ingredient, the particle size of the PN differs, which leads to differences in the sensation during injection and the range of applications. Due to its high viscosity, some patients may experience significant pain.

Rejuran i has a higher polynucleotide concentration and a higher price.

The difference from Sunecos lies in the target demographic and the ingredients.

Sunecos is a formulation containing a complex blend of hyaluronic acid, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and other ingredients. It primarily targets the superficial layer of the dermis and is designed to improve skin hydration and radiance.

In contrast, Plural Silk differs in that PN alone acts on fibroblasts in the dermis to promote collagen production.

Botox is effective for different types of wrinkles.

Botox is a treatment that reduces the visibility of wrinkles by suppressing the movement of facial muscles, and it is primarily effective for expression lines.

On the other hand, since Plural Silk works to improve the skin's natural texture and firmness, it is well-suited for fine crepe-like lines and small dry lines that are visible even when the face is at rest.

Hyaluronic acidis a physical increase in volume

Hyaluronic acid injections are a procedure that primarily adds volume to directly fill in depressions and hollows.

On the other hand, Plural Silk is a treatment that doesn’t simply add volume but actually improves the skin’s texture itself.

Downtime, Side Effects, and Risks

I would like to explain the concerns patients have regarding Plural Silk.

Common Reactions(Downtime Symptoms)

  • Mild pain
  • swelling
  • Redness
  • Bruising

The most common is,Pain, swelling, redness, and bruisingThese are what are known as “downtime” symptoms. All of them are temporary side effects associated with the procedure, andIn most cases, symptoms resolve on their own within about 24 hours..

At the site where the needle was insertedIf bruising occurs, it will gradually fade over the course of 1 to 2 weeks. We do. To minimize the risk of bruising, our clinic employs various measures, such as using ultra-fine needles and carefully controlling the injection pressure and speed.

Symptoms may vary from person to person. Please allow plenty of time when planning around important events.

Risks That May Occur Rarely

  • lump
  • Infections, etc.

Although it doesn’t happen often, there is a small risk that a lump may form at the injection site or, in rare cases, an infection may occur.

If you notice anything unusual, please contact the clinic immediately.

Although pain and swelling will gradually subside, if they worsen instead, it may indicate an infection.

Those who are not eligible for the treatment

  • Those who are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Allergies, etc.

Safety cannot be guaranteed during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. For this reason, we are asking patients to refrain from receiving treatment at our clinic.

Although PN is derived from salmon, the protein components that are prone to causing allergic reactions are removed during the high-purity purification process, soRelatively low risk of allergiesIt is considered to be
However,If you have an allergy to fish-derived ingredients, be sure to consult your doctor beforehand..

FAQ

How many times should I use Plural Silk?

Although results vary from person to person, if you want to see noticeable changes in your appearance, we generally recommend undergoing the treatment about 3 to 4 times (one course) at intervals of 2 to 3 weeks. After that, we recommend maintenance treatments once every 6 to 12 months.

When will I start to notice the effects?

Most people begin to notice firmer, more radiant skin after about a week, and after 2 to 4 weeks, collagen production increases, making it easier to experience the full effects. Results may vary from person to person.

Is there any pain?

Because we use ultra-fine needles, the pain is relatively mild. Many patients describe it as a slight tingling or a feeling of pressure, but we can also apply a topical anesthetic cream upon request.

How long do the effects last?

Although results vary from person to person, the effects are generally said to last approximately 6 to 12 months. To maintain these results, regular maintenance is recommended based on this timeframe.

Is there a risk of developing a lump?

Although it is rare, there is still a possibility that a lump may develop at the injection site. If you notice any abnormalities, please contact the clinic immediately.

What is the difference between this and Plural Densify?

The biggest difference is the scope of treatment.

Densify is designed for large areas, such as the entire face, while Silk is specifically designed for the eye area.

What is the difference between this and Rejuran Eye?

Although both are PN formulations, they differ in their country of origin and particle size.

Can I receive this treatment while I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

We ask that women who are pregnant or breastfeeding refrain from receiving treatment. This is because the safety of the treatment has not been fully confirmed.
