What is Jalupro Young Eye (JALUPRO YOUNGEYE) Injection?

Jalupro Young Eye is a formulation in the "Jalupro" series—developed by the Italian pharmaceutical company Professional Derma SA—that was created specifically for the eye area.

Features of Jalupro Young Eye Injection

In addition to the basic ingredients common to the Jalupro series (hyaluronic acid and amino acids), it contains peptides that target the eye area.

It is a next-generation skin-booster treatment that gives firmness and moisture to the thin, delicate skin around the eyes, helping to address concerns such as dark circles and fine lines at their root.

[Main Ingredients of Jalupro Young Eye]

  • Two types of low-molecular-weight non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid
  • Seven amino acids
  • Three types of peptides

Two types of low-molecular-weight non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid functions differently depending on its molecular weight. Low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid penetrates easily and can be expected to bring plumpness and flexibility to the skin. Jalupro Young Eye blends two types of low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid to enhance moisture retention and promote the activation of fibroblasts.

Structurally, hyaluronic acid is divided into "crosslinked" and "non-crosslinked" types. Whereas crosslinked hyaluronic acid is suited to building volume, non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid blends well with the skin and is suited to skin regeneration and improving firmness. It is also characterized by an extremely low risk of allergic reactions and granuloma (lump) formation.

Seven amino acids

Formulated with seven amino acids: glycine, proline, lysine, leucine, alanine, valine, and arginine. These play an important role in the composition of collagen and contribute to improving skin quality.

[How the Amino Acids Work]

  • Glycine: the main component of collagen
  • Proline: supports the stability of collagen
  • Lysine: supports collagen synthesis
  • Leucine: strengthens the skin's barrier function
  • Alanine: retains moisture
  • Valine: helps repair and regenerate cells
  • Arginine: promotes blood flow and repairs damage

Three types of peptides

Formulated with the functional peptides Acetyl Decapeptide-3, Oligopeptide-24, and Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5.
By promoting the synthesis of collagen and elastin, these give the skin elasticity and make wrinkles less likely to form. They can also be expected to help reduce swelling after treatment.

The effects on the skin of injectable formulations with a composition similar to Jalupro Young Eye—hyaluronic acid + amino acids + peptides—have also been reported in overseas clinical studies.

As one example, in the following paper the formulation and indications are not exactly identical to Jalupro Young Eye, but it can be regarded as one piece of evidence suggesting that an injectable formulation combining hyaluronic acid, amino acids, and peptides may act on the connective tissue from the dermis to the subcutaneous layer to enhance the skin's hydration and firmness.

The Effects of Jalupro Young Eye

  • Improvement of blue and dark under-eye circles
  • Improvement of fine lines
  • Enhanced firmness and improved appearance around the eyes

Improvement of blue circles

Blue circles are a condition in which blood vessels show through because the skin under the eyes is thin.

By promoting the production of collagen and elastin, Jalupro Young Eye gradually thickens the skin so that blood vessels become less visible.

Improvement of dark circles (shadow circles / sagging circles)

Dark circles are a condition in which the skin sags due to the loss of collagen with age, creating shadows.

By promoting collagen production and restoring plump firmness to the eye area, it makes shadows less noticeable.

Improvement of fine lines

Fine lines at the outer corners and under the eyes are caused by dryness and thinning of the skin.

The low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid in Jalupro Young Eye enhances moisture retention, while the amino acids and peptides promote the production of collagen and elastin. As skin density increases, fine lines become less noticeable.

Enhanced firmness and improved appearance around the eyes

With each successive treatment, the skin around the eyes is rebuilt. As new collagen and elastin are produced, skin density improves, the skin is lifted from within, and its natural firmness and elasticity increase.

As a result, an eye area that tended to look tired gradually takes on a brighter, more youthful impression.

Jalupro Young Eye is recommended for those who...

  • Are bothered by dark circles under the eyes (especially blue or shadow circles)
  • Are bothered by fine lines and dryness under the eyes
  • Want firmness and elasticity around the eyes
  • Are reluctant to undergo surgery
  • Want to regain a youthful impression with a natural finish
  • Were not satisfied with other treatments

When the effect appears

  • When the effect appears: hydration right away, with changes in skin quality noticeable from about one month later
  • Peak: 2 to 3 months later
  • Duration of effect: approximately 6 months

You may feel hydration from the hyaluronic acid right after injection, but changes in skin quality—such as improved firmness and reduced fine lines, as collagen production gets fully underway—typically become noticeable from around the second or third session.
The effects appear gradually, naturally rejuvenating the eye area.

The Jalupro Series and Its Features

A feature common to the series is the combination of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid and amino acids (such as glycine, L-proline, L-lysine, and L-leucine).

These work synergistically to promote the skin's own ability to restore its youthful state (collagen boost).

The Differences Between Jalupro Classic, HMW, Super Hydro, and Young Eye

Some may wonder, "Doesn't Jalupro Classic also target the eye area?"

Jalupro's "Classic," "HMW," "Super Hydro," and "Young Eye" have their ingredient concentrations and formulations adjusted according to their purpose and the concern (fine lines, deep wrinkles, sagging, eye-area focus, and so on).
Each has an area of strength as outlined below, and they also produce synergistic effects when combined.

Jalupro Young Eye [For rejuvenating treatment specifically for the eye area]

Formulated with "peptides" not found in the other products. Designed specifically for the thin, delicate skin around the eyes, it focuses on addressing not only fine lines but also dark circles and puffiness.

Jalupro Classic [For improving fine lines and dark circles around the eyes, and hydrating the skin overall]

It excels at treating the whole face, particularly superficial "crepe lines" and improving skin quality. Before Young Eye appeared, it was the mainstay of eye-area treatment; today it plays an active role in overall facial skin-nurturing and in combination treatments with Young Eye.

Jalupro HMW [For neck wrinkles and nasolabial folds, and to plump up sunken cheeks]

This is a more concentrated, slightly firmer formulation than the Classic. It is well suited to areas where you want to add volume, such as deep wrinkles (like horizontal neck lines) and sunken cheeks.

Jalupro Super Hydro (also known as: Tightening Injection) [For skin rejuvenation, improving sagging, and tightening]

This is the most concentrated formulation and promotes the regeneration of the ligaments that support the skin. Rather than filling in wrinkles, it is a formulation designed to tighten the skin and aim for a lifting effect. When combined with Jalupro Young Eye, it can aim to enhance deep structural support in the periorbital area.

The Jalupro series formulations are also explained in more detail in the following article.

Jalupro Young Eye Downtime and Risks

  • Symptoms: wheals (raised areas immediately after injection), redness, swelling, bruising
  • Duration: approximately 1 to 2 days (within 48 hours)

*If bruising occurs, it may take about two weeks to fade.

Because the eye area cannot be fully hidden with a mask or the like, some people may be anxious about downtime.

To put it plainly, the downtime for Jalupro Young Eye is extremely mild.

Slight redness, swelling, or pinpoint needle marks may appear at the injection site, but these usually subside within a few hours to a day. Rarely, a small raised area (bump) may be felt, but it settles naturally within a few days.

However, because the skin around the eyes is thin and has many capillaries, it is an area prone to bruising and swelling. If bruising occurs, it usually turns yellowish and is gradually absorbed and fades over about 1 to 2 weeks. In rare cases, it may take longer to disappear completely.
In the unlikely event that bruising appears, it can be covered with makeup such as concealer, eyeshadow, or liquid foundation.

Important Notes Regarding Allergic Reactions

Because Jalupro Young Eye uses highly biocompatible ingredients (hyaluronic acid and amino acids), it is a highly safe treatment; however, in very rare cases, an allergic reaction may occur to hyaluronic acid or other components in the formulation. If you have a history of allergies, please be sure to let us know during your consultation.

Also, if any of the following symptoms appear, please consult a physician immediately.

  • Persistent abnormal swelling or redness
  • Severe itching or a rash
  • Fever
  • Severe pain at the injection site

How to Care for Yourself After Treatment

  • Makeup: possible from the next day
  • Bathing: showering is possible from the same day

When caring for your skin, be careful not to rub the area hard, and be thorough about moisturizing and UV protection.

Please refrain from anything that increases blood flow, such as strenuous exercise, alcohol, hot springs, and saunas.

Treatment Area / Method

Jalupro Young Eye is injected directly into the areas of concern around the eyes using a very fine needle, or evenly over a broader area using a cannula (a needle with a rounded tip).

At our clinic, we take into account each patient's skin condition, the type of dark circles, sensitivity to pain, and the like, and recommend the optimal injection method.

Pain during treatment

Because a finer-than-usual needle is used, discomfort is kept to a minimum. However, how pain is felt varies from person to person.

Applying anesthetic cream (topical anesthesia) reduces the prick of the needle.

Recommended number / frequency of treatments | Treatment schedule

  • Recommended interval / number of sessions (one course): every 1 to 2 weeks × 4 times
  • Maintenance: after completing one course, we recommend a session roughly every 3 to 6 months.

Treatment intervals and number of sessions

You may think, "If possible, I'd like to finish treatment in a single session," but to maintain the effects of Jalupro Young Eye and aim for even better condition, regular maintenance sessions are very important.

Because the collagen in the skin continues to decline with age, we recommend replenishing with Jalupro Young Eye at regular intervals.

Who cannot receive this treatment

In principle, the treatment can be performed unless you have some serious illness or inflammation in the area to be treated.

The following is provided as reference information, since we are obliged to include it to inform "those who are not eligible for the treatment," so please take a quick look through it.

  • Those who are pregnant or breastfeeding

Frequently Asked Questions About Jalupro Young Eye

What is Jalupro Young Eye?

Jalupro Young Eye is an injectable treatment that aims to improve concerns around the eyes—such as fine lines, dark circles, loss of firmness, and dullness—by enhancing the skin's natural regenerative power.

What are the effects of Jalupro Young Eye?

It can mainly be expected to help "improve dark circles," "improve fine lines," and "enhance firmness and elasticity around the eyes." Because it boosts the skin's own regenerative power, the result is natural.

When do the effects of Jalupro Young Eye start to appear?

Some people begin to feel the hydrating effect of the hyaluronic acid within a few days, and over the following few weeks to a month it becomes easier to notice changes in skin quality from the action of the amino acids and peptides. Receiving several sessions in succession can lead to even greater results.

How many treatments are needed for Jalupro Young Eye?

One course is four sessions at intervals of 1 to 2 weeks, after which we recommend a session roughly every 3 to 6 months.

Commonly Compared Treatments: How It Differs from Rejuran and Sunekos

For eye-area treatment, "Sunekos" and "Rejuran (Rejuran i)" are also popular options. All of them promote skin regeneration, but they take different approaches.

We have compiled the differences between each in a table.

ItemJalupro Young EyeSunekosRejuran (Rejuran i)
Main ingredientNon-crosslinked hyaluronic acid + amino acids + peptidesNon-crosslinked hyaluronic acid + amino acidsPolynucleotide (PN)
Primary functionsReplenishes the "building blocks" for collagen production and also increases the skin's moisture contentStimulates fibroblasts and promotes collagen productionPromotes cell repair and regeneration, improving the very quality of the tissue itself
Area of strengthPlumpness of the skin, fine lines, blue and shadow circlesEnhanced firmness, reduced crepe lines, overall improvement in skin qualityImprovement of thinned skin, redness, crepe lines, and the like
Final impressionA plump, hydrated finishA firm, resilient impressionA smooth, natural texture

Simply put, if Rejuran is a treatment that "flips the repair switch of the skin cells," then Jalupro is easiest to picture as a treatment that "directly delivers the nutrients (such as amino acids) needed to produce collagen."

Also, whereas Sunekos contains six types of amino acids, Jalupro Young Eye is distinctive in containing seven types of amino acids—and in particular a high concentration of "glycine," which forms the foundation of collagen structure.

Which treatment is most suitable depends on the nature of your concern, your skin type, and how much downtime is acceptable, so please discuss it with your physician during your examination.

For Jalupro Young Eye, choose Smart Skin Clinic

Jalupro Young Eye is an injectable treatment that aims for natural improvement of concerns around the eyes—such as fine lines, dark circles, and loss of firmness—by enhancing the skin's inherent regenerative power. Three ingredients—non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid, amino acids, and peptides—work synergistically to bring natural youthfulness to the eye area.

Because the downtime is relatively mild and the impact on daily life is minimal, it is a treatment that is easy to receive even for busy people. That said, results vary from person to person, and ongoing maintenance is important.

At our clinic, experienced physicians carefully examine each person's eye area and propose the optimal treatment plan. During the consultation, we explain the effects, risks, and costs, and take care to ensure you receive treatment only once you are fully satisfied. We do not engage in unnecessary upselling.
