On the Concept of “Reservation Slots”
Our clinic offers affordable prices by eliminating waste that does not affect the quality of care and passing those savings on to our patients. We don’t just cut back on interior design and advertising. We also consider idle time to be a form of waste that should be eliminated.
Appointment slots are managed in designated time blocks. When you make an appointment, that time slot is reserved for “one patient.” While it is reserved, no other patient can book an appointment for the same time.
Doctors, nurses, and receptionists are on duty during those hours, regardless of whether you have an appointment.
If a reservation is canceled, that time slot will remain open. During that time, the staff will be left waiting with nothing to do.
As these delays accumulate, it becomes increasingly difficult to maintain our prices.This is why our clinic places such importance on our appointment slots.
Why You Have to Pay 5,000 Yen Even Though Counseling Is Free
This 5,000 yen is not a fee for counseling. It is a payment we are requesting for the time slot we have reserved.
Whether you’re booking a consultation or a treatment appointment, it still takes up one slot on our schedule. While the consultation itself is free, the time we set aside for it ends up going unused.
Why We Base Treatment Fees on Appointment Reservations
We did not perform the treatment itself. However, we were unable to offer the treatment that was scheduled for that time slot to another patient.
What was lost was not the treatment itself, but the slot. We are using the amount we were scheduled to receive for that slot as the basis for our calculation.
Why being more than 15 minutes late makes it difficult to accommodate you on the same day
We have set aside the necessary time in advance. That time slot is right next to the next patient's slot.
Even if we start late, the total time required remains the same. As a result, we may not be able to fit the treatment within the allotted time slot, which could overlap with the next patient’s appointment. This is why it may be difficult to accommodate you on the same day, and why the areas we can treat may be limited.
